Salma Hayek Stuns In Gucci Dress While Twinning With Penelope Cruz

"Penelope may not be my twin but she is my style sister."

Salma Hayek and her best friend, Penelope Cruz, have one of the most desirable relationships in Hollywood. The duo recently proved that even though they're apart often, their hearts are in sync as they walked different red carpets in similar dresses.

Hayek highlighted the moment by mixing her picture with Cruz's own from the Venice Film Festival.

Soul Sisters Forever

The best friends wore black dresses to their events, the former at a foundation and the latter at the Venice Film Festival. Although they both chose black dresses, the friends have different fashion styles, which they implemented in their outfits.

The 56-year-old actress' Gucci dress had a sweetheart neckline on the bodice, forming a bodysuit, while her skirt had crystal and sequin embroidery. She topped the dress with a fur bolero jacket and matching tote purse.

Cruz's dress was a Fall-Winter 2022/23 Haute Couture collection by Chanel, of which she's an ambassador. It had a snug black bodice with a deep sweetheart neckline and sleeveless straps while the skirt had appliques and embellishments.

She styled her black hair in a high bun and dressed it with short bangs and accessorized her look with high jewelry pieces also from Chanel.

Co-Chairing With Friends

Hayek and her husband Francois Henri-Pinault attended the Kering Foundation's Caring for Women Dinner, where they were the chairpersons of the day. They co-chaired with Hayek's former co-star Samuel L. Jackson with whom she starred in The Hitman's Bodyguard and its sequel, his wife, LaTanya Richardson, Gisele Bündchen, Julie Mehretu, and Gloria Steinem.

The proceeds from the fundraiser were shared amongst three partnered organizations, including Global Fund for Women, National Network to End Domestic Violence, and Ms. Foundation for Women.

Hayek's Long List Of Philanthropy

In his statement, Henri-Pinault said,

"The Caring for Women Dinner represents a milestone in our 14-year history of partnering with front-line organizations that support women survivors to escape violence and rebuild their lives."

Besides Kering Foundation, Hayek is involved with 38 more charities per Look to the Stars. Her primary concern is raising awareness about gender-based and racially-motivated violence. She has a foundation in her name which supports battered women and unfortunate children in Mexico who can't fend for themselves.

Despite living between countries due to her career, Hayek always holds a torch for her motherland and never fails to offer support when she can.
